Almost lover

I try not to think about it.

About your sweet smile and perfectly messy curly hair. About the way our eyes locked. Once. Twice. Was it tree times?

I try not to think about how I don’t even know your name. But you know mine.

I try not to think about how my face flushed when I saw you. How my gaze lingered a second longer than it would in anyone else.

I try not to think about what could have been. But couldn’t, really.

I try not to think about how you seem to think the same about me. And about how I wish you are there tomorrow, too.

That’s what almost lovers should do.
